Vintage and antique items

The items offered by Nordicvintagehome are original vintage, pre-owned or antique pieces. Signs of age such as patina, wear, surface marks, discoloration or small imperfections are expected and are part of each item's character, not defects. We describe and photograph every item as accurately as we can. Colors may look slightly different depending on lighting and screens.

All sales final – no returns for change of mind

All sales are final, except for items damaged in transit, items significantly not as described, wrong items, and where mandatory consumer law gives a right to cancel. See our Returns & Refund Policy.

 

Vintage electrical items – decorative use only

All vintage lamps, lighting and other electrical items are sold strictly as decorative objects and collectibles, "as is", and not as working electrical appliances. They were made decades ago for European electrical standards (230 V). They have not been tested, rewired or certified by us, and they are not UL, ETL or CSA listed or approved for use in the United States, Canada or any other country.

By purchasing an electrical item, the buyer agrees that:
- the item must not be connected to any power supply until it has been inspected, and if needed rewired and adapted (plug, wiring, grounding, voltage), by a licensed electrician in the buyer's country;
- the buyer alone is responsible for this inspection, any adaptation, installation and all use of the item;
- the buyer assumes all risk of injury, fire, electric shock and property damage arising from connecting or using the item;
- the buyer releases Dalastil, trading as Nordicvintagehome, from, and will indemnify it against, any claim, loss or cost arising from the connection, adaptation, installation or use of the item.

We make no warranty, express or implied, that any vintage electrical item is safe, functional or fit for any purpose other than decoration. These limits apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Customs and duties

Orders to the United States are shipped DDP: we prepay US import duties and taxes. For all other destinations, import duties, VAT/GST and fees are paid by the buyer unless the checkout states otherwise. Parcels refused or not collected are handled as described in our Returns & Refund Policy.

Limitation of liability

We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, weather or strikes, or for losses caused by an incorrect shipping address provided by the buyer. Nothing in our policies excludes rights that consumers have under mandatory law.
