These terms apply to every purchase from nordicvintagehome.com. By placing an order you accept these terms, our Returns & Refund Policy, our Shipping Policy and our Legal Notice.

1. What we sell

Vintage and antique items. Almost everything in our shop is an original vintage or antique piece, one of a kind, sourced by us in Sweden. These items are pre-owned and may show signs of age such as patina, wear, small marks or old repairs. This is part of their character and not a defect. Each item is sold in the condition described and shown in the photos.

New items. Our Christmas wall clocks are new products made by us in Sweden. They come with a 30-day warranty against manufacturing defects present at delivery (not covering misuse, drops, moisture, battery corrosion or modifications).

2. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars. Shipping is calculated at checkout before payment. Payment is taken when you place your order. A contract is formed when we send your order confirmation by email.

3. One of a kind

Each vintage item exists only once. In the rare case that an item is sold twice at the same time, the first completed order receives it and any other payment is refunded in full.

4. Returns and refunds

All sales are final – no returns for change of mind – except for items damaged in transit, items significantly not as described, wrong items, and where mandatory consumer law gives you a right to cancel. Full details are in our Returns & Refund Policy.

5. Shipping, duties and taxes

We ship from Sweden to the destinations listed in our Shipping Policy. We do not ship to the European Union, the EEA or the United Kingdom. Orders to the United States are shipped DDP: we prepay US import duties and taxes. For all other destinations, import duties, VAT/GST and fees charged by your country are paid by the buyer unless the checkout states otherwise.

6. Vintage electrical items – decorative use only

All vintage lamps, lighting and other electrical items are sold strictly as decorative objects and collectibles, "as is", and not as working electrical appliances. They were made decades ago for European electrical standards (230 V). They have not been tested, rewired or certified by us, and they are not UL, ETL or CSA listed or approved for use in the United States, Canada or any other country.

By purchasing an electrical item, the buyer agrees that:
- the item must not be connected to any power supply until it has been inspected, and if needed rewired and adapted (plug, wiring, grounding, voltage), by a licensed electrician in the buyer's country;
- the buyer alone is responsible for this inspection, any adaptation, installation and all use of the item;
- the buyer assumes all risk of injury, fire, electric shock and property damage arising from connecting or using the item;
- the buyer releases Dalastil, trading as Nordicvintagehome, from, and will indemnify it against, any claim, loss or cost arising from the connection, adaptation, installation or use of the item.

We make no warranty, express or implied, that any vintage electrical item is safe, functional or fit for any purpose other than decoration. These limits apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Liability

Our liability for any order is limited to the price paid for that order, except where mandatory law does not allow such a limit (for example for injury caused by negligence).

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
