Dagny Zachrisson Christina Keramik Sweden Wall Plaque, Oak Leaf Wildflower Relief, Brown Ceramic Botanical Wall Art, Mid Century Decor

Dagny Zachrisson for Christina Keramik – Botanical Wall Plaque with Oak Leaves and Wildflowers

A beautiful vintage Swedish ceramic wall plaque designed by Dagny Zachrisson for Christina Keramik. The design shows oak leaves at the top and wild meadow flowers below: daisies, twinflowers (Linnaea borealis) and small leafy stems. The motif is pressed into the clay in soft relief like a botanical imprint, and finished in a warm brown glaze with darker shading that brings out every leaf vein and petal.

Dagny Zachrisson (1923–2014) was the leading designer at Christina Keramik in Sweden in the 1960s and 1970s.

The plaque is signed “DZ” on the front. The back has the round Sweden Keramik stamp and the incised model number 286. It hangs from a leather strap threaded through the top.
