A vintage hand-carved wooden dish in the shape of a leaf, with a long handle that curls back into the dish in a scroll.
The inside of the dish and the wide rim are covered in gouge carving, creating a rippling, net-like texture that catches the light across the dark stained wood. The handle is carved with the same texture and ends in a gently curved tip. The underside is smooth, with a carved circular foot area.
Found in Sweden. No maker’s mark. The carving follows the Scandinavian mid-century handcraft tradition.
Use it as a centerpiece, a catch-all on a hallway table, or a display dish for fruit, pine cones or seasonal decor. Best suited for decorative use or dry items.
Measurements: length 33 cm (13 in), width 26 cm (10.2 in).
Condition: good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. A few small light specks inside the dish and light surface scratches on the underside. Please see all photos for details.
Ships from Sweden. US orders are shipped with duties and taxes prepaid.
