A pair of antique Swedish wooden scoops, each hand carved from a single piece of wood.
Scoops like these were everyday tools on Scandinavian farms, used to measure and move grain, flour and animal feed. Each one has a deep, square-ended bowl with raised sides, carved together with the handle from one piece of wood. One scoop has a straight, tapered handle, the other a handle with a small hooked end. Both show tool marks from the hand carving and a soft, worn patina from years of use.
A beautiful pair to hang on a kitchen wall, display on open shelves, or use as rustic farmhouse decor.
Measurements: lengths 34 cm (13.4 in) and 37 cm (14.6 in), widths 13 cm (5.1 in) and 15 cm (5.9 in).
Condition: antique condition with wear consistent with age and use. Cracks in the wood, natural knots, scratches, dark marks, and a red-brown mark on the back of the hooked-handle scoop. Please see all photos for details.
