Rolf Palm Stoneware Table Lamp – Blue-Grey Glaze, Mölle 1960s

A hand-thrown stoneware table lamp base by Rolf Palm, produced at his Stengods studio in Mölle, Sweden, circa 1960s. The cylindrical, slightly tapering form is covered in a matte blue-grey glaze with fine speckled texture throughout, and defined by a band of five incised horizontal grooves at the base — a characteristic detail of Palm's Mölle output.

The glaze is cool and mineral in tone, shifting between slate blue and warm grey depending on the light. The surface has a dry, tactile quality typical of Palm's reduction-fired stoneware. The unglazed foot ring reveals the buff-coloured clay body beneath.

Marked with the impressed Stengods stamp on the neck and the incised signature Palm on the base. Rolf Palm (1931–2018) established his Stengods studio in Mölle, on the Kullaberg peninsula in Skåne, where he worked independently producing hand-thrown stoneware from the late 1950s onward. His work is held in Swedish museum collections.

An ideal bedside or reading lamp base — pairs naturally with a linen or paper shade in warm white or natural tones. Works equally well on a console, library shelf, or writing desk.
