A vintage Swedish seven-arm candle holder in solid pine, designed by Stig Jonsson for Dala Industrier AB, a family company from Borlänge in the Dalarna region of Sweden.
The seven arms rise in a gentle arch from a wave-shaped body cut from solid pine, each fitted with a brass candle cup for standard taper candles. A green leaf motif decorates the center, and the candelabra stands on a stepped pine base. The underside is marked with the burned-in stamp: DALA industrier AB, DESIGN Stig Jonsson, with the company’s cherry logo.
A seven-arm candle holder is a classic part of Swedish Christmas decorating, traditionally placed in the window during the dark winter months.
Measurements: width 47 cm (18.5 in), height 21 cm (8.3 in).
Condition: good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Wax drips on two arms, a dark mark on the front of the base and natural knots in the wood. Please see all photos for details.
For safety, never leave burning candles unattended.
