A rare and large printed linen wall hanging by Swedish textile artist Ulla Scheuer, signed ULLAS, depicting the iconic Vasa — Sweden’s legendary 17th-century royal warship, today housed in the Vasa Museum in Stockholm and one of the most visited museums in Scandinavia.
The design captures the magnificent stern of the Vasa in full graphic detail — ornate carved figures, decorative lanterns, heraldic lions and shields — rendered in a bold mid-century palette of amber orange, purple, brown and cream. A piece of Swedish cultural history in textile form.
Ulla Scheuer was one of Sweden’s most beloved mid-century textile designers, and her signed ULLAS pieces are today collected internationally. The original wooden hanging rods are included.
