A striking Mid-Century Modern ceramic table lamp by Swedish designer Bruno Karlsson for Ego Stengods Ateljé, dating from the 1960s.
The handcrafted stoneware base has a bold sculptural silhouette, with a narrow waist and beautifully flared sections creating a distinctly architectural form. Its expressive glaze combines warm earthy brown, ochre and deep charcoal tones, with rich variations across the surface characteristic of Scandinavian studio pottery.
A distinctive and collectible example of 1960s Swedish ceramic design, equally appealing as functional lighting or as a sculptural design object. Its organic glaze and strong form make it particularly suited to a curated Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian Modern or contemporary interior.
