Retro 1970s Sewing Basket with Flower Power Lid

A cheerful vintage sewing basket from the 1970s, woven in white plastic wicker with a braided rim and a sturdy white carrying handle. The padded fabric lid is printed with a classic flower power pattern of orange, pink, lime and olive flowers with green swirls on a white background, and it has a little fabric loop for lifting.

Inside is a clear plastic tray divided into compartments for thread, buttons and needles. It lifts out to reveal the storage space underneath. It is lovely for sewing, knitting or crochet supplies, or simply as retro storage in a craft room.

The basket was found in Sweden.
