An exceptionally elegant piece of mid-century Swedish needlework, this tall narrow banner wall hanging features a sinuous climbing stem bearing two large, fully open deep crimson roses with delicate pink shading, a cluster of sky blue forget-me-nots with yellow centres, and lush green foliage — all worked in fine cross-stitch on a warm cream open-weave canvas ground.
The central panel is framed by a wide black border on both sides, topped and tailed with a decorative band of olive green bobble stitch that gives the piece a jewel-like finish. The piece is presented on its original silver wrought iron hanging rod with decorative scrollwork — ready to hang straight from the wall. The tall, narrow format makes it ideal for hallways, stairwells, or as a vertical accent piece between windows or doors.
