A vintage Swedish four-arm advent candle holder in solid pine, hand painted with a trailing rose vine.
Four turned candle cups with metal inserts sit along a flowing, wave-shaped arm, supported by a solid pine base. The decoration shows a large pink rose at the center with rosebuds, blue leaves and a dotted green vine running along the arm. The pine has a warm patina with strong, visible grain.
In Sweden, a four-arm candle holder is traditionally used for Advent, with one more candle lit on each of the four Sundays before Christmas.
