A vintage Swedish table lamp in solid pine with a wooden shade, most likely from the 1970s.
The octagonal shade is built from end-grain pine panels, so the concentric growth rings of the wood form a rhythmic pattern of circles on every side, inside and out. A bent wood ring sits at the top of the shade. The turned base and the vase-shaped stem are solid pine with a strong, glowing grain. When lit, the light falls softly through the open top and bottom of the shade.
Measurements: height 44 cm (17.3 in), shade diameter 22 cm (8.7 in).
Condition: good vintage condition with wear consistent with age. A horizontal crack on one panel of the shade and a visible joint in the top ring. Please see all photos for details.
Original wiring: the lamp has its original European 230 V socket and cord. It has not been tested and is not UL certified. Please have a licensed electrician check or rewire it before use.
